“Doing Good NH with Krysten Adel of All Brite Cleaning and Restoration”

Brusseau, Laura. (2020)

This week I spoke with Krysten Adel, Operations Manager of All Brite Cleaning and Restoration,  her family’s company that was started in the 1980s and is a leader in cleaning and restoration. Krysten was born and raised in the Gilford area and graduated from Plymouth State University with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Communication Studies. While at Plymouth, Krysten was involved in the Plymouth community, the Plymouth Dance Team, and the Contemporary Dance Ensemble.

Krysten volunteering at the Faith Hope and Love Foundation’s Formal Affair Event

When asked why she stayed in New Hampshire after graduation Krysten said, “the Lakes Region has a strong sense of community and the people that live here are really giving.”

She loves spending time on Lake Winnipesaukee with her family. She enjoys shopping at the Tanger Outlets in Tilton and hanging out at local restaurants with friends such as Patrick’s Pub & Eatery, T-BONES Great American Eatery, Local Eatery, and O Steaks and Seafood, as well as going by boat to Town Docks, The NASWA and Liliuokalani’s.

Krysten loves giving back! Growing up she enjoyed dancing at retirement communities and doing fundraisers for her school. Once she graduated college she jumped back into volunteering by helping with the First United Methodist Church Fundraisers, serving food and washing dishes at Hands Across the Table, a weekly meal for those living in the Greater Laconia area, helping teenagers find prom attire with the Faith, Hope, and Love Foundation’s fancy affair event, organizing blood drives for the American Red Cross and canned food drives for the Salvation Army.

Donating food to the Salvation Army in Laconia

Krysten has served as the President of Lakes Region Habitat for Humanity and was a key player in them merging with Pemi Valley Habitat for Humanity. She is a big supporter of the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction and loves donating items every year for the auction boards. Three years ago, Krysten helped start the Spirit of Hope and Kindness Awards in the Greater Lakes Region – an annual event that celebrates children and youth doing good and being kind. All finalists receive a monetary award to create their own kindness project in the community. Krysten has been honored for her amazing dedication to the community by being awarded the Fusion Young Professional Award in 2015.

When I asked Krysten what advice she has for young professionals she said:

“Find something you are passionate about. When the pandemic is over, go to events put on by Fusion, the Lakes Region Chamber, Rotary, whatever your local professional networking club is in town. Talk to people and you’ll see where there is a need. Keep an open mind and try new things. Joining a local organization is a great way to learn more about your community, give back and meet great people.”

Not only does Krysten give back, but her family’s business does too! Krysten started a bowling fundraiser with All Brite Cleaning and Restoration which has donated over $20,000 to the Salvation Army. During this pandemic, Krysten and All Brite are still working and giving back to the community. For more information about All Brite or how they help the community check out their website
